Hide and Seek

Making it through a day at a time was all Michael Finch could hope for. Life was so different now without his wife by his side. Tragically taken from him a year ago, her death cast a shadow over the whole town of Blackfield. He had lost his own mother and his wife in the space of two years. Caring for his eight-year-old daughter and his father, who was increasingly losing his mind, was difficult for Michael but in a way it allowed him to hide from the prospect of dating again. Despite his failing mind, Keith Finch finds love with the petite yet very outspoken Ruth, and for the first time in a long time Michael finds himself wanting human affection. Between the two farm buddies the idea of romance with a woman, or even just a one night stand, goes terribly wrong and the aftermath is far-reaching. Tom, Connor's cop father-in-law, keeps his overprotective eyes on the boys and it keeps him close to Ruth, the woman he loves from afar. Michael has to learn to admit that his marriage wasn't perfect when his wife died. Connor has to admit that his secret is wrecking him. However, Keith is the one with the biggest secret of all, locked in his broken mind, breaking it even further. (Contains sexual references and coarse language.
