This is a play that celebrates the life and work of one of Jamaica's national heroes, Sir Alexander Bustamante, in the years 1938 to 1955. It describes the formation of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU) and the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP), organisations he founded for the political, social and economic empowerment of the Jamaican working people. It describes the obstacles he faced and the trials and the triumphs of the of the man and the organisations.
