'A Life Beautiful' is the biography of a crusader for Justice who had to fight through the thick and thin of his life. He was born in the lurch and fought for his existence when he lost his mother in his childhood days followed by his father. It can appear to be the story of a common man in the vast ocean of faceless human beings who lived and died without any foot prints. It is virtually the biography of the author. Of course only some glimpses on his long life of about seventy years being unfolded from his mind's canvas. In everybody's life, some events stand out, defiant to get forgotten. They may be events or experiences that have left out some indelible impressions, pleasant or unpleasant, whatever, submerged in the recess of his brain. It is better to wipe out these memories before I slide into my eternal sleep. It is an accepted truth that memories cannot be wiped out by the single stroke of a brush. They cannot be forgotten all on a sudden until dementia is clamped. But one can bid farewell to them if you communicate them to your fellow men. It may be an easy way of escape, a safety valve. I also feel that the effective way of communication is by way of writing them in some form. I do not know exactly whether it is the reason why people are inclined to write their stories, even, autobiographies! You may agree that the common men who constitute the pith of this society may appear to be a phenomenon. They never bother to leave any imprints behind them, whatsoever. An ordinary individual may be totally insignificant in the eyes of this vast society. But at times he may turn out to be significant and shine like a shooting star. You can write your biography and claim that your life was something significant and extraordinary. My life as such was a "Way of the Cross" (via sacra) and rarely unique. So, sharing your sorrows and happiness with your fellow men is always good! A common man as an individual, is a drop in the vast ocean of faceless living creatures, has nothing significant to convey specially or specifically. This is a fast moving world and a "big go, go world". Being a common man, others may feel my scribbling may is absurd or awkward. But some may find some significance in some point of view. For, every theory has some exemptions, just like a rain in the Summer! I do understand, there is nothing new in this world, as long as the sun is old, millions of years old and the sunshine remains the very source of life energy and inspiration. The same things happen every day in one way or the other; procreation, recreation, struggle for existence or struggle for more money, more power and fame. Bleak and disgusting repetition in the cold history of human kind. Of course you may argue that everything may not be a replica of the other, like the sun rise or the sun set. I do admit it that there may be incremental changes or differences due to what they call the biological mutations and adaptations through the majestic march of millions of aeons Adv. M. L. George
