"AFRICAN VILLAGE LITERATURE" volume one is based on a young woman who was born and brought up by a successful farmer (her father) and a mother who was a tailor in Kembe village. The young woman (Mhanga) was trained to be a tailor by her mother and was provided with apprentices and a shop to start her own tailoring job. Mhanga was no longer satisfied with her income from the tailoring job in the village. She became over-ambitious to make more money as fast as possible and this marked the beginning of her many problems and permanent isolation to live in the forest. "AFRICAN VILLAGE LITERATURE" volume one strategically aims to introduce readers to African literature, to enable readers develop interest in reading African literature and to enhance their knowledge and understanding of some real life African literature.
