The Race for Medusa

The Medusa device, a sixth-century BC episimon, is priceless. The shield beguiles anyone who views it at the Museum of Olympia in Greece. Someone is so enchanted by the device that he steals it, sending government agents and one determined journalist on a manhunt that culminates halfway across the world on the beaches of Florida.



Adam Macris, amateur archeologist, has a special tie to the device. He is the first man in centuries to unearth the hideous Medusa and behold her deadly gaze.



There are no leads in the theft until Nafter Tatril, an itinerant worker, is picked up on unrelated charges in Tampa, Florida. Nafter has ties not only to the art heist but to a potential bombing by antiestablishment activists. Nafter refuses to tell government agents what he knows about the bomb threat; he will speak only to Adam.



When Adam and his nephew, Byron, fly to America, they will have the adventure of a lifetime. Femmes fatales, secret agents, traitors, poisoners, arsonists, and more await them. Will Adam be able to find the Medusa before she is lost forever?
