Hank was abandoned as a child and left with a family totally unlike him in every way. The most important thing that he found was love and care. He stood out like a sore thumb because of the color of his skin but there was always love in abundance. He had received much love and wanted to love someone else. The person he picked, Jasmine wanted to love him back but wanted public approval and more afraid of what others thought than what her heart said.
