It had been over a decade since Ronan had last been within the castle walls. The last time he'd left, he'd sworn he would never return, having grown sick of being the royal mercenary. "Enforcer in the Royal Guard" is what they had titled it in a pathetic attempt to bring honor to the role. He would die for his king, but he had grown tired of killing for him. However, the young guard they had sent to fetch him had been so overcome with alarm he was worried the boy would burst into flames despite the moonlight. For he was being forced to return to the land of the vampires, the members of which had been infecting themselves with a daily injection that would allow them to walk in the sun, sun that would normally burn them to death. However, it had been a week since they received the latest batch of this injection, and in the meantime, they are suffering and dying. Only Ronan can save them. The only job she could get was that in a whorehouse, which she didn't want.
