Death Prescribed

Two women who run the new Red Feather health clinic high in the Colorado mountains are murdered. Jackie Reed, a struggling realtor and single mom, discovers their bodies. She tries to reach Kenny, the deputy sheriff she dates, but she cannot find him. Does he have a motive to murder? Or, is it the fiancé of one of the women? He is angry because someone at the clinic caused him to lose his commercial driver's license by revealing he used drugs. What about the brother of one of the victims who is furious because she refused to sell the family ranch to save his failing business? Previously, he viciously attacked a woman who refused to do as he demanded. Or is someone else, mad because one of the victims was about to reveal damaging information about him? When George Ferrell, Jackie's surrogate father and the owner of the village's general store, experiences a life-threatening crisis, he discovers the clue that leads to the identity of the murderer.
