Look Up Daughter

Fathers! Fathers! Fathers! Mia's father issues abound! Everything is going right for 18-year-old Mia. She's in a stellar robotics program in college. A convalescent home is jazzed about using her robot to help rehabilitate their patients. And finally, her step-father Allan has embraced her as his own. Mia's bio-dad died before she was born, so when Allan promises to make their relationship official by adoption, she's elated. But then he makes a callous choice leaving Mia wondering if he's reversing his promise. Her best friend Hazel thinks so and convinces Mia to look for a father figure elsewhere. She doesn't want Mia to endure another heartache if Allan flakes again. When Mia agrees, and they search her bio-dad's family for possibilities, they discover that Mia's mom has been keeping secrets that could flip her world upside down. All the while, God is calling Mia out of the whirlwind and into His love. He doesn't want her to scramble for father love when He has more love for her than she could ever imagine. But Mia is afraid to trust God. If Allan has trouble loving her, why would God even care? Will Mia put her fear aside and let God heal her? Or will her quest take her so far from her dreams that she can't even see a road to get back?
