Route 66 Looking-glass, the third volume in the series At Home and Away, is set in mid-1960's America, a time of turmoil for the nation and of challenge for the Lindbloom family. The father (the "Route 66 Dreamer" of Volume Two) and the mother (the "Route 66 Sweetheart" of Volume One) worry that the American definition of success has been constricted to material prosperity. And the ideals of ?the Mother Road? appear illusory when reflected against the realities of injustice in the nation and of war abroad. Michael Lund grew up in Rolla, Missouri, and now lives and teaches in Virginia.
