This classic book, penned in the 1800's by an author known only as "F. M." should be a "must read" for every believing Christian. The entire book literally bleeds the love of Christ, as the author delves deep into both the wandering human spirit and the unfathomable love of God. The book begins with the question posed in Proverbs: ''A wounded spirit who can bear?" The agony of unrequited love, the extra pain felt when wounds are from a friend-and a trusted friend at that-are powerfully employed to remind readers of how God feels when the human backs which He died to save are so frequently turned on Him.
