Reflections
Samuel Templeman Gladding
The inner lives of most individuals, including writers of prose and poetry, are seldom revealed. This tendency would most likely be true of the writer of this book except in his adolescent years Sam Gladding discovered Dag Hammarskjöld's book, MARKINGS. He was impressed that the second secretary-general of the United Nations could write so eloquently over a period of years. It was a different kind of writing: insightful, sensitive, and welcoming. Now over 40 years since that discovery, Gladding has put together a collection of his own writings, mainly reflections from multiple experiences, that represent his life. Read for enjoyment; read for insight; and read knowing that Hammarskjöld's original writing was the inspiration behind this work.
