Experience the labyrinth!
The images in this coloring book are based on an ancient visual symbol-the labyrinth, an image that has haunted the human imagination for thousands of years, since the first human beings drew spiral patterns and told their earliest myths. In the twentieth century, Carl Jung drew new attention to the labyrinth as a symbol of the individuation process: the slow and twisty path toward the integration of the self, resolving layer after layer of psychological conflict to become whole.
The goal of this journey is to release our old ways of being and thinking, so that we can reach the center, the true Self, that which is the core of our identity-and there we will be renewed. But this is only half the journey. Once we reach the inner center with its treasure, we must then find our way out of the labyrinth and return to the outer world, bringing with us gifts of wisdom and transformation.
Color . . . contemplate . . . and open yourself to new insights.
