Foster is a young boy with an overactive imagination and a Teddy bear named Shane. Shane continues to get Foster into all kinds of situations that at first seem to Foster as great ideas (according to Foster). Fosters parents do not usually agree. Fosters dad takes him on his first fishing trip that makes Foster want to master the art of fishing. When they return home Foster and Shane come up with a plan to master the art of fishing. Foster ends up being very surprised that his Mommy and Daddy and younger sister Kala are not very understanding of his plan.
