Bitter Root

Father Joe's perfect community has crumbled but his past is blocking him from moving forward. He confronts self-doubt and resistance from the congregation to changes he feels essential in the church's approach to ministry. Meanwhile, his daughter Sarah wants to believe prayers will save her terminally ill friend even though the friend continues to grow weaker. David, his son, struggles with trouble brought on by his own over self confidence.
