The Eternity Lens

From our first breath to our dying one on this little planet, we journey through a full spectrum of experiences. We navigate the mountain tops and valleys, the highs and lows, and the joys and sorrows. We sit and weep through funerals, clap and smile at weddings, and hug at birth announcements. We anxiously wait for the call from the doctor's office, eagerly wait for our child's name to be called at graduation, and impatiently wait in a traffic jam. We feel the deep pain of loss, the anger of betrayal, and the thrill of love returned. Life can be quite the roller coaster of circumstances, emotions, and experiences. The Bible never glosses over the difficulties we inevitably go through in this temporary life; however, it clearly tells us where to keep our eyes focused. Using 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, Bill Coleman invites us to try on an Eternity Lens for a new perspective on whatever comes our way. Using stories from his own journey, Bill shows God's desire for us to rise above our temporal circumstances and view life with an eternal perspective. You may laugh and cry, but by the end, you will begin to see your own journey through the lens of eternity and realize that "our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us a glory that far outweighs it all." Dr. Bill Coleman is married to Tiffany with 2 adult children: Austin and Alaina. Bill graduated from Wingate University, received his M. Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and earned his D. Min. in Expository Preaching from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has pastored 4 churches and is currently an Associate Pastor and Elder at He's Alive Church in North Carolina. He also serves as Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry at Luther Rice College and Seminary. He has led over 25 mission trips and trained pastors around the world.
