Plight of the Fortunate

Gabriel Clarkson has always done what was expected of him. Now in his final year of college the next phase of the greatness that his father has always proclaimed for him is set to come to pass. Everything that Gabriel has worked for is right there for the taking. There is just one problem...his vices are threatening to unravel the very fabric of who he is. Still, even worse, some of those closest to him are not even aware of the tumult that he wrestles with from dusk till dawn and once they find out the wheels will surely come off. In trying to be what everyone else is sure he is supposed to be Gabriel is struggling to find out who he really is. In the face of Black Lives Matter, Blue Lives Matter, and All Lives Matter something happens that will leave Gabriel asking if he even matters! Even those from the "right side of the tracks" can go left. The weight of certain expectations hover over him like the shadow of a 40-foot-tall bear. Now, the very same shadow of fortune that has always protected him will undoubtedly destroy him unless he figures out just how he got here and comes to grips with who he has become...
