The stories in this book tell of the men working in the Blister Rust Camps around Priest Lake, Idaho during the early 1900's. While some may have originated in fact, they have been embellished to the point of "tall tales". The stories, like their characters, are rich in the flavor and uniqueness of that era. Frank Oatley Walters displayed a creative writing style full of light-hearted humor and rugged story telling as he captured the essence of the boys and men working and living in the Selkirk Mountains.
