Dawncaller

The Half-Elven Series presents the struggles of Muren Starwatcher and his half-elven daughter, Kirsten, who are both aided by true friends and hindered by prophecy. In Dawncaller, the Drakes of Second Dawn are awake, the Lifebane are moving against Longwood, the Dwarves are on the march to reclaim their lost holdfasts, and the Elves are pressed to save Longwood from desecration. Pursuing the maddest plan of all, the Gnomes of Halnn have engineered a machine to capture and tame a Drake. In the midst of these larger conflicts, Kirsten has discovered the mythic sword Fahde, once used to end the chaos of First Dawning, and must now travel to the edges of the world to learn how to wield its power.
