Dani finds herself excited to have a real friend in Sharice. Sharice finds herself instantly attracted to Dani. On Sharice's birthday, Dani is reunited with her best friend, Tito, from New York. After Dani and Tito share a night of sweet kisses under the stars, Sharice confesses to Dani that she has feelings for Dani. Sharice gives Dani an ultimatum. Tito or her. Dani chooses Sharice. Finding herself in a relationship with Sharice, who struggles with fidelity and abandonment issues for multiple reasons. When Dani has finally had enough of Sharice's infidelity. She no longer fears losing Sharice and seeks friendship in Evan. When her feelings for Evan become more than platonic, she realizes she's confused about love and friendship. To discover the difference between love and friendship, and what they mean to her, she goes back to the beginning. Where and when she became confused. She revisits her childhood in New York with Tito damaging some friendships and relationships along the way but, ultimately she finds clarity after losing her virginity with the person she believed she would always lose it to.
