Helping people to let go of the past and the mess that comes along with it is Helen's job; she's a successful British entrepreneur living in Boston. She's confident that there is no client she can't handle-that is until her friend Thomas hires her services to help his father, Simon Conrad, before the Christmas season that year. In the welcoming town of Montpelier, Vermont, a divorced father who filled his empty nest with trinkets and mementos to keep the loneliness and regret at bay, Simon is determined to resist Helen's efforts.
