Witchbloom

Twelve year old Zoe Bloom was left with big shoes to fill after her mother's disappearance. While she still has a childhood, she'll be happy just to make a friend or two in their tiny town of Moonlight Valley, and maybe earn a better grade at Paragon Academy of Magic. But it's hard to even keep up with average when the measuring stick is the most powerful witch and leader the town had ever known. It's even harder when Zoe's classmates reject her for her infatuation with Outsider culture, not to mention her powers being totally wonky when her peers, especially her bullies, have done nothing but excel and become more powerful. When an evil presence is drawn to Moonlight Valley and the adults won't listen, Zoe must overcome mediocrity, band together with new allies, and face a being that threatens to unravel the town she loves so much.
