Bhubhu was proably born and died during the fifth century Bce. In this novel, he has been dorment until AD 1934, when Robison Buddy Streets is reincarnated to take up his task of informing human kind how to overcome their ineffective behaviors. He travels from Manhattan to India, to the Middle East, and to Rome, helping the people with these beliefs to begin their own journies to Nirvana. From the the Jainismasan people, he reminds himself of Ahimsa, the principle of non-killing, and the rest of the novel tells of his attempt to remain true to that principle.
