How improbable, that a historical phrase which is often overlooked in modern times, would be the catalyst of a revolution which would be instrumental in shaping world history from that time forward? Equally unlikely was that a small group of men without a country to call their own, would be inspired by truths contained in the forgotten phrase to take dangerous and drastic actions. . These men would attempt without a trained army to prosecute a revolutionary war. For the sake of personal freedom they would struggle against Britain the super power of their time. These Underdogs, as we will call them, were inspired by a phrase that was well known in 1776 but dating back to classical Greece, Rome and ancient Israel. This now overlooked and forgotten phrase in recent times "The Laws of Nature and of Nature's God" inspired a group of fifty six men to do what no other had dared to do. They established a nation in a single day with a declaration of freedom to the world, in the written form of "The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. July Fourth, 1776 was a day in which these Underdogs proclaimed to the world that the chains of tyranny and bondage could and would be broken. This precarious, dangerous and selfless act would give hope to the oppressed people around the world that personal freedom was possible for them too. Indeed, a David and Goliath Story.
