WORDS IN A ROW: BOOK TWO is the second collection of poetry published by the Artist, Poet, Author, and Monologist, D. L. De McClung. This volume contains 55 poems that speak to contemporary issues, and express the poet's concerns and views on the social/political conditions of today's world, especially in America. The poet attempts to enlighten as well as entertain the reader, so not all of his rhymes are serious commentary on current trends towards political lunacy and social hysteria. There is a bit of humor here and there. Some readers might find the poet's views, as expressed in this volume, more than a little controversial, disturbing, and perhaps arguable, but the poet adamantly refuses to engage in frivolous arguments, illogical debates, and absurd discussions. A dedicated monologist, De McClung presents his point of view, in rhythm and rhyme, with unabashed clarity and blatant honesty. Nothing is sacred! Whether he is describing the current political circumstances or relating a father's lecture to his teenage daughter on the evils of youthful sexuality, the poet does not hesitate to speak his mind. He is a staunch defender of Freedom, the Right of Free Speech, Free Expression, and individual human rights. Logical Conclusions and Critical Analytic Observations trump hysterical mythological irrational subjective opinions and social-political lunacy that currently threatens Human Life, Freedom, and the Pursuit of Human Happiness and Well-Being.
