The South Pole

"He instructed me to give you, and only you, the cylinders containing the written reports of his two exploration trips to Antarctica. His death is a great loss for all. He was thinking about producing a movie. Obviously, he didn't have things very well planned with his early departure. But I could talk to him a few words. He left me some money to be used in the publication of a book. The man pulled some papers out of the folder. And he was looking at them. "In these documents he is giving you all rights." I only listened to him in silence since I wasn't prepared for what he was commissioning me. My trip to the South Pole was an accident of the circumstances in which I found myself, which changed my life forever. But writing a book was something else.
