Stella Windermere

When a body is found at Aberavon beach, amateur sleuth Stella Windermere is intrigued. The police are baffled by the identity of the body but soon discover an ID badge nearby. It suggests the victim is a Polish sailor.
Soon, Stella is embroiled in the case. She meets up with Inspector Trevally and together with her assistant Joe Howells, she sets out to help the police with their inquiries. A second victim - at a birthday party - leaves the seaside town in shock, especially as the woman was well-known in the town.
Stella has to use all her wits and experience as a retired secretary who worked at Scotland Yard, to solve the crimes.
Can she do it before another body is found?
