The White Sail

Josephine Renault is thrown into despair when she's abandoned in a harsh girls' school. Her only consolation is Clarice Eyre. However, they're soon parted and Josephine longs to be reunited with her only friend. But Clarice has gone to the fledgling New England colonies. The only way to get there is the Royal Navy, and they don't take passengers. Through a series of events, Josephine experiences adventure and intrigue, complete with threatening pirates. Will she get to New York? Or does her destiny lie elsewhere?
