A year has passed since Jamie was forced to leave Hopson in order to keep Michael safe and herself alive. The pain never ends, the longing to see him never goes away. She hides in a city full of people who don't know her, or the torment she lives each day with her secret. Never giving up on their forever she continues to fight waiting for the day to return to him. Today is her first day back to work after a brief absence, but her emotions will collide in a way she never imagined. Her past will be awakened, her future will be decided, and it all lies with someone waiting for her in the lobby. Michael has no words to describe his life since Jamie's disappearance. That night weighs heavy in his heart and haunts his dreams. Graduating from college and starting a new business acquiring bars across the country allows him to look for her in every new city. Arriving in New York to solidify the contract on a new bar, he receives a message about the meeting being delayed. A few blocks away he looks in the windows of stores, art galleries and cafes for a glimpse of her. He notices a sign in one of the windows reliving the past year but giving him hope today.
