The Tiny Little Chirstmas Tree

My husband, Doug, and I wrote this together b/c we both have always wanted to write a children's book!i have written several books in the past and Doug has written one prior to this one. However, for what ever reason, neither of us took them the entire way to publication. This time we wanted it to be different- so this is our first published book. We both feel a great sense of accomplishment. We have three Golden Retrievers who are introduced in this book under their new aliases... Prancer, Vixen, and Cupid! I know you and your family will love them as much as we do...they are such amazing dogs! Our book is about a little boy, Oliver, my grandson, Evan, who was the inspiration for this character. Thanks Evan. He lives in a log cabin in Montana with his parents and his three Golden Retrievers. The family started a tradition when Oliver was quite young for Christmas- they would dig up a tree for their Christmas tree, bundle it, and brought it into the house to be decorated. They would replant it in the spring in the front yard after carefully caring for it all winter. The "da" tree was first, followed by the " mom" tree. Now Oliver wants the "baby" tree out in the meadow to join his family as their Christmas tree this year and then in spring be planted next to his mom and dad. The story follows Oliver's adventures with his three best friends... Prancer, Vixen, and Cupid and his determination to convince his parents that this is the year to reunite the baby tree with his parents. He must convince his parents that the the tiny little tree wants to join his family in the spring. This can only be achieved by digging up the little tree, bundling him, and placing him in the Christmas room to be decorated for Christmas! The dynamic trio, Prancer, Vixen, and Cupid helped in many ways along Oliver's journey. They helped dig the little tree up from the frozen ground with their paws, brought boxes of ornaments to Oliver and his parents as they decorated the tree, and will also help replant the little tree along side his parents in the spring. As the story progresses, I hope you will see the moral to the story unfold before you! Christmas is not the only time for families to come together and feel the magic of the season. The magic of Christmas can be felt all year long by everyone. Family is one of the most important things in your entire life, so embrace it!I have always wanted to live in Montana, even as a child. My husband, Doug and I are living the dream in Kila, Montana with our beautiful Goldens as our constant companions and best friends! We live on average with a log cabin that is on the property that we rent three seasons of the year. It has been quite an experience learning how to become an inn keeper after my entire career has been spent in an operating room in Charleston, South Carolina. My husband's learning curve of being the general repairman of the cabin was not as dramatic as mine since he has always been in sales and had to "stomp out many fires"! If you like GREAT Christmas stories, then you'll love this book! It speaks volumes about what Christmas is and should be all about! It is definitely a family Christmas story that all families can relate to and read to their children and later pass down to their grandchildren! This story is about love, determination, miracles, and a true sense of what family is and should be all about! The LOVE of FAMILY sparkles through the eyes of an EIGHT year old. THE FUNNY THING ABOUT MIRACLES IS THAT IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN THEM, THEY COME TRUE!Mimi O'Nei
