The American Nightmare

Black women in America have had traumatic experiences dating back to slavery and continuing through to today. Twelve women share their experiences dealing with racism, discrimination in corporate America, the volatile racial climate we face today, raising black children in America, and being the wife of a Black man, among other topics. Though some of the stories evoke painful emotions, the resilience, strength and commitment to preserving the positive Black experience shine throughout the book.
