The Hell In Your Mind

The Hell in Your Mind will help you renew your mind. We will talk about how belief systems are formed and how beliefs affect behavior. We will talk about God's power to transform lives by transforming how we think. And we will talk about how to fill our minds with truth and to develop a kingdom-oriented mindset that is able to discern and come into agreement with the will of God. It took time, after I came to Christ, for the Holy Spirit to point out where my beliefs were skewed, distorted, or just downright false. The process continues to this day. It took some time to change my thinking habits so I no longer allowed old patterns and beliefs to govern my life. It took time to identify and get rid of the demonic influences that had wormed their way into my mind and personality. During the process I had to let God show me what truthful, godly thinking was. It took time to create new thinking habits and patterns. But eventually the fruit of a redeemed mind began to show up in my life. I would like to share what I have learned with you. These are not things I learned by reading books. These are things I learned because I put them into practice. Allow the Holy Spirit, as you read, to begin to target those things in your thinking and mindsets that he wants to change. You will never regret that you did. Ripples in the waterDid you know your mind has a filter? When you experience life, those experiences are processed through the filter of your belief system. This belief system tells you what to think about what you experience. Why is this important? It is important because what you think will determine how you react. And your reactions and choices will bring consequences. It's called sowing and reaping. Your choices today determine where you end up tomorrow and the choices you make tomorrow determine where you go the day after that and so on. And your choices don't just affect you. Picture in your mind what happens when you throw a rock into a pool of still water. Ripples begin to fan out from where the rock entered the water. Now picture five or six rocks being thrown into the water at the same time. As the ripples begin to radiate out from where the rocks hit the water they eventually begin to run into the ripples caused by the other rocks. They start to overlap and interfere with each other. The choices we make every day have the same effect. You may not see how what you do today affects someone tomorrow but your choices will have consequences for others as well as for yourself. It is important to know that our choices are being motivated by right thinking.
