Leaving 101
Wren Waters
Before she found herself married to an alcoholic, Wren Waters would have thought the most obvious thing for a woman to do in such a situation would be to leave her husband. After marrying an alcoholic, she came to realize the "obvious" thing is not obvious nor is it easy. The alcoholic marriage is a constant barrage of conflicting emotions. Some days are great: some days are downright horrible and in between are lots of days that are in between. Jerk around by her own emotions for far too many years, Waters realized she had to find some way to manage her life as she navigated life with an alcoholic husband and the ever present "should I leave?" question bombarding her psyche. "Leaving 101" is not about leaving your husband today, tomorrow or necessarily at all. It's about how to take back control of your life today so that you have options tomorrow.
