THE STORY OF THE 23rd HUSSARS 1940-1946
Members Of The Regiment
The 23rd Hussars were a cavalry regiment of the British Army, raised during World War II, that was in existence from 1940 to 1946. It fought in Sherman and Churchill tanks from Normandy through the Low Countries and Ardennes to Germany. It won Battle Honours for The Odon, Bourguébus Ridge, Le Perier Ridge, Amiens 1944, Antwerp, Venraij, Venlo Pocket, Ourthe, and North-West Europe 1944-45.
This is a very good 'Armoured' WW2 Regimental History and, as in all good contemporary regimentals, a Roll of Honour, lists of awards, wounded and POWs are included.
