This is a book of poetry dedicated to Pasaya, the Snake Goddess of Knossos who has her arms upraised, as well as to the Snake Goddess of Knossos who holds her arms down at her sides. During the writing of these poems I learned about a total of seven goddesses (most in fragments) found in the temple repositories at Knossos. I also read an article with a very convincing argument for divine names found in Linear A, also at Knossos. These, as well as inspiration from what are known as 'bell goddesses' from Crete (clay goddesses thrown on a wheel, hence the 'bell' shape, with arms upraised and feet that swing), are the inspiration for these poems.
