Namby-Pamby the Singing Gnat

'You just natter too much!' said the other gnats to Namby-Pamby, who sat singing alone on the tree.'I just do not like biting all the time. I sing, I write, that's my choice, ' said Namby-Pamby to the other three. 'But you are a gnat. You are supposed to bite. We do, ' they replied back. 'Whoever heard of a singing, talking, entertaining gnat, who lacks a very healthy appetite to bite?' Very angrily they said, 'Go do your croaking!' That's how a first-time author Noorie Ali starts her beautiful story about a Namby-Pamby who is so different from his fellow gnats that it takes him some creativity to persuade his friends that music is a powerful art which should always be part of our lives.
