Sam Rossiter, a private investigator, has his life under control. He owns his home, his business partner, Annie Ireland is his best friend, and he has a satisfying profession. Life is great until he experiences a streak of accidents. Annie says someone is trying to hurt him, but Sam ignores her. Then a bullet slams into a door frame inches from his head.
