This book represents the second volume in the ever disturbing Trump Presidency saga. It is mostly a book of poetry, with a couple of very short essays thrown in, inspired, mostly, by Trump's very own words and actions. Whatever your political bent, I think it can be stated, and agreed upon, that the candidacy and the past years of this Presidency are beyond the norm. Some would consider this a good thing, with the Washingtonian power structure shaken up and politics as usual, demolished. Others would see the same Trump behaviors as not only beyond the norm, but beyond the pale. This work explores this opinion and viewpoint, sometimes in a humorous way, at other times, in a more serious tone. Make no mistake, however, whatever your political leanings, the Trump Presidency will set and affect the tone and standard of politics for years to come, and not in a good way. With the normalization of lying and hate speech, and their promulgation, and a flat refusal to make decisions based on anything close to an evidence-based, fact-based process, the American way of life is in jeopardy. While bad behavior can sometimes be "good" political behavior, it is still bad behavior, and creates (intentional) distractions from real- time American domestic and world issues that truly need to be addressed and solved. Not to be too melodramatic, but the world and history is watching and taking measure as Trump America puts a tremendous strain on our Constitutional, political, social, and environmental fabric. The reverberations will continue to ripple through time, even after Trump is long gone. I sincerely hope that we all survive it.
