Lana Walked on the Shore: A post-Soviet trip through the looking glass.

Moscow. 1998.

On the edge of winter in a sleeping district slum, a little girl runs away from a family unhappy in its own way.

Seeking shelter in a snow-melt world, she stumbles upon a curious little bird being chased by a dark force.

On the run, they stumble through a portal into post-Soviet purgatory. Separated in the sprawling catacombs of lost souls and red tape, the little girl goes on a fantastical journey through parallel worlds to rescue her new-found friend.

At home, her father loses himself to the darkness and commits an unspeakable crime. Her mother tries to hold herself together as things fall apart.

One by one, they stumble through the rabbit hole, into a twisted world of collapse on a southern seashore that once reflected all that was light and good.

There, a fallen man must find his little girl to save the world, all worlds, from collapse. That little girl and her little bird must be raised above black waters, least everyone, everything, goes under.
