Solstice Surrender was first published as a novella included in the Winter Warriors anthology, then re-released in December 2009 as a ebook-only single title novella.

It has now been extended and re-edited, and repackaged with new front and end matter, and re-released as the Author's Edition. The additional text has lengthened the story enough to also allow a print edition to be released.
