The Panda-emic Story is a children's picture book for ages 5 to 105. It is a story of how hope, courage, and care can truly save the world.
Written during a pandemic, the animal characters in this book represent people from all nations. Stories of great empathy and heroism as well as selfish and destructive behaviors were seen around the world -- all inspiration for this story of a lone panda who has the great misfortune of getting sick, and then being blamed, as the zoo shuts down and many other animals get sick. As for the zookeepers, many will ask, 'How could they just leave the animals alone?'
It was a special group of endangered birds, the caregivers, who ultimately save the zoo and restore order once again -- and to those fine birds we are eternally grateful. May they soar high once again!
