STILL CHATTEL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS Volume One: Still Chattel Collection written by Dr. Angela Browne-Miller afterword by Dr. Angela Browne-Miller This is the story of an "alpha" female who gets sidetracked and spends years in an abusive marriage, losing herself to his career, etc., to later realize he is not only a criminal attorney and planning on running for Senator, but also working for an international crime syndicate, not only defending international flesh trade criminals but more. Meanwhile their now young adult daughter, who had been admitted to West Point disappeared part of the way through West Point. She is believed dead and her mother is suicidal over this plus her own terrible marriage and the many years of abuse she has allowed herself to undergo. The daughter resurfaces angry, militant, on a mission, and has become a player in an international women's militia working to free women and children from the international flesh trade (of all things). Some of the chapters take us right into the flesh trade rescues, killings and settings. This novel unpacks the mindset of women facing and finally seeing what to do about domestic violence and abuse, against the backdrop of love, intrigue, attraction, conflicts, international crime, and more.
