La mayoría de nosotros no tenemos ni idea de hacia dónde nos dirigimos la mayor parte del tiempo. Perfecto. Los cristianos celtas tenían un nombre para el Espíritu Santo. Lo llamaban An Geadh-Glas; esto es, «La oca salvaje». Este nombre insinúa que hay en él algo de misterioso. Al igual que sucede con una oca salvaje, al Espíritu Santo de Dios no se le puede seguir el rastro, ni tampoco domesticarlo. Lo rodean un elemento de peligro y un aire que lo hace impredecible. Y aunque este nombre a nosotros nos pueda parecer un poco sacrílego, no se me puede ocurrir una descripción mejor de lo que es ir «Tras el Espíritu» a lo largo de la vida. Me parece que los cristianos celtas habían descubierto algo... La mayoría de nosotros no tenemos idea alguna en cuanto a dónde nos dirigimos la mayor parte del tiempo. Y sé que eso causa desasosiego. Sin embargo, esa incertidumbre creada por las circunstancias también tiene otro nombre: ¡Aventura!

"Celtic Christians had a name for the Holy Spirit-An Geadh-Glas, or 'the Wild Goose.' The name hints at mystery. Much like a wild goose, the Spirit of God cannot be tracked or tamed. An element of danger, an air of unpredictability surround Him. And while the name may sound a little sacrilegious, I cannot think of a better description of what it's like to follow the Spirit through life. I think the Celtic Christians were on to something.... Most of us will have no idea where we are going most of the time. And I know that is unsettling. But circumstantial uncertainty also goes by another name: Adventure.
