JoAnna's contagious enthusiasm and God-given musical talents were used to unlock new doors and possibilities in her life and in the lives of her students, family, and friends. Her affections colored the world with a brilliance that overflowed from the depths of her heart. She would have been touched by the outpouring of tenderness people shared seventeen years ago and the lasting memories we all continue to share. Even though our daughter's JoAnna's life was cut short, her life was lived in harmony and selflessness. Her zest for life was fed by making people happy. Music was JoAnna's passion whether she was hearing it, singing it, playing it, reading it, dancing to it, or teaching it. We, her family, had the pleasure and privilege of attending many of the excellent concerts and amazing performances she directed and the young students presented. Along with her students' smiles and well-deserved pride were bright eyes of devotion and respect for their teacher.
