In 1946, a young WWII bomber pilot returns from war only to take a job as the deputy sheriff of a small Georgia city. But all is not quiet in this little Southern town. His first real case is a murder, and the investigation leads him straight to the Godfrey Store Road. One inhabitant is a lady who may have the gift.
