Meg Mercer is a doctor at the local hospital. After having a strange dream, she awakens to find something about her is different. When she discovers puncture marks under her arms, she knows someone, or something kidnapped her. After further research she fears that she's been injected with a virus. She flees to protect her daughter.

Years earlier her husband died under mysterious circumstances. She fears whatever is happening now is related to him as her body transforms, her senses become more acute and she starts craving blood. She doesn't have much time to stop the virus before becoming something she fears.
