This novelette is a fusion of biography into social history. On the one hand, it grows with its heroine, Anna: from the first stirrings of her sexual awareness, to the later lesbian 'identity' as she proudly stuns the police officer who arrests her. On the other, it develops with her now mature sexual self-awareness as part of a huge social sector which constitutes a new 'proletariat', after Tara reveals "The Nation of Amazon" to her. Given a shock of recognition accordingly, Anna discovers the countless women of her type who, put together, make only the tip of an iceberg. Along with this refreshing revelation, comes up the question of organizational work against a biased male-dominated social order, availing two options for her and for the 'Nation': the confrontational, and the gradual, both meant to correct a social flaw that began with the downfall of the ancient goddesses from their ziggurats down on the thorns of life.
