Return from Panther Holler is the last sequel of Legend of Panther Holler and Ghost of Panther Holler series. Vick Porter the hero of the story and Cain, his son, make their final journey to Panther Holler. Returning to San Augustine, Texas, Lucy Porter has learned that she and Cain have been swindled out of Pecan Plantation. As she contemplates how to protect her son and husband, she conducts her own investigation to uncover evidence that can put away the men who stole their property. After witnessing their evil, she becomes targeted and unlike her father, who was a beloved sheriff, she learns quickly that she is way over her head. ***** As I wrote the conclusion of this story, I knew I would have to honestly present the ruthless mind-set of the outlaws to make the reader understand the real danger of my characters. I also prayed for insight of the American Indians who were brutalized along the Trail of Tears. Their plight and struggles were etched in my mind as I wrote this fictional story. I prayed that it could be presented in such a way to show the desperate journey inflicted on them by those who chose to live without law--without compassion--and without God. My prayer has been to touch the hearts of those who read the Legend of Panther Holler trilogy, which I was inspired to write.
