Protege

After a life in the care system, Tara meets a man who she thinks is going to show her the love she has always craved. By the time she sees Austin for the controlling and violent man he is, she is already trapped. An unexpected incident gives her an escape route, and she is determined to trust nobody. One thing she can thank him for, is teaching her about money lending. When she goes against her usual instincts, and places her faith in somebody once more, she believes that they will be grateful for her kindness and compassion.
