Call Me Whitehead

Howard Lee Whitehead was a soldier, but he was also just a regular man. As a young black male enlisting in the Vietnam War in 1968, Howard had a lot to fear. Between vigorous training, war mentality, and witnessing death, Howard and his fellow comrades were easy pickings. Based on true accounts, Call Me Whitehead explores Howard's experiences during war training and Vietnam. Despite him being labeled as a troublemaker, Howard had traits that endeared people to him. These same traits would help him survive one of the biggest fights of his life.
